Nicholas Paszek

Nicholas Paszek joined IMD as a Partner in 2024 and heads the Dispute Resolution team at IMD Corporate.

He is a very experienced solicitor having acted in a wide range of high value and complex commercial disputes. He has a diverse client base ranging from individuals to multi-national companies.

As well as breach of contract, negligence claims, shareholder disputes, claims against directors and debt recovery, Nick has expertise in construction disputes and regularly acts in adjudications.

Outside the office, Nick is an FA qualified football coach and enjoys competing in ironman triathlons.

Acting for a founder claimant in £39m unfair prejudice petition brought against private equity investors;
Acting for defendant’s insurer in respect of a £24m breach of shareholder agreement;
Acting for a former director of a Premier League football team in a defamation claim against the owner of that team and that team.
Acting for a Defendant manufacturer in a £1.4m defective balcony claim;
Repeatedly acting for a well-known high-street retail Franchisor in disputes with franchisee’s including claims for injunctions and breach of restrictive covenants/mis-use of IP;
Acting for an insurer in respect of an off-shore telecommunications provider’s claim for £200,000 fraud losses;
Acting for a Defendant demolition company following the inadvertent destruction of a building by fire.
Acting for a construction company’s Liquidator in respect of multiple contract claims totalling £4.2m;
Acting for a construction company in an £800,000 bond dispute;
Acting for a residential home builder in respect of a £750,000 extension of time request;
Acting for a construction company in a £220,000 variations claim at final account stage.
Acting for an industrial battery manufacturer in a £200,000 delay claim;
Acting for a defendant cladding company in respect of a £150,000 final account adjudication;
