Rezwana Dithy

Rezwana is a Wills and Probate Lawyer who graduated with First Class Honours in the MLaw (Exempting) degree at Northumbria University, integrating a traditional law degree, legal practice course and a master’s in law. 

Rezwana can competently offer comprehensive legal advice to clients, observing all aspects of their legal issues and taking into account the wider implications. In doing so, Rezwana can provide clients with tailored advice to suit their individual needs.

• Lasting Power of Attorney- to ensure that should you become unable to make decisions relating to your financial and property affairs or health and welfare, a person you trust has the authority to make decisions on your behalf; 

• Inheritance Tax Planning- to ensure you take advantage of tax allowances enabling you to get the most out of what you pass on to your loved ones without resulting in the payment of preventable inheritance tax; and 

• Probate and Estate Administration- to ensure that Grant of Probate in the UK is obtained, even where the estates include assets in foreign jurisdiction, and the deceased’s estate is administered as required during what can be a really challenging time for the deceased’s loved ones.

• Assisted in drafting Wills with Bengali speaking clients. 

• Applied for lasting powers of attorney for clients in preparation for the future. 

• Assisted an executor in obtaining a Grant of Probate and managing the estate of both executors’ parents, who unfortunately passed away within a few months of each other, alleviating the burden of legal responsibilities during their time of grief. 

• Settled the entire estate of a deceased who had properties abroad and left various gifts of cash and personal possessions to a number of charities across the country.

‘My passion outside of work is exploring different cultures through food, whether that’s seeking out new cuisines when I travel or trying to recreate those dishes at home. I love sharing those experiences with family and friends, and little moments like that make me happy.’
